To answer your question, IG. On just one old map I have seen the mountain between Canaan and Sentinel called Dan Hole Mt - on most maps one sees, it is unnamed. Its southern slope runs down to Dan Hole Pond, so that might be a very fitting name to use for that mountain. Dan Hole was supposed to have been a long-ago Indian resident of the pond's environs.
