Photo taken yesterday at a beaver bog on the Hidden Valley Scout Reservation in Gilmanton, near Lake Eileen. This bird was on the nest until she spotted me, when she took the position seen here to better keep an eye on me. Her mate circled around 100 ft or more above me for several minutes.
