It's about 4 mi across the high ridge shown here. Mt Roberts (2580') is at the far left; the twin summits of Faraway Mt (2780') are at its immediate right; at left center is a 2600' unnamed peak; the triple peaks of Mt Shaw (2990') are at right center; Black Snout (2800') is next (note the dark spruce cover-hence the name); near the right side are the twin summits of Big Ball Mt (2015). 7 mi of trail connect all the named summits of this high ridge - another 15 mi of trail lead up to the ridge from several trailheads.
