Alton Bay. Postmark 1908. The Cocheco RR came into Alton Bay in 1851. It brought many visitors to the campground meetings. Tracks were laid up the lake to Lily Pond in 1890. These tracks were ripped up in 1935. http://www.lwhs.us/alt-railroadstation.htm
