Bought at auction: 1970s-vintage Folbot kayak, with sailing gear. $75. (45 square-feet of sail—tiny). Aluminum tube frame, with heavy vinyl covering. Note the "name".
Not tippy at all, but slow—even among sailboats. My greatest "thrill" with this boat, was to hear the breaking of an unseen wake behind me!
Folbot—kayaks copied from German folding designs after WWII—is still based in South Carolina.
