Lake Eileen is part of a large (3500 acres) scout reservation located in Gilmanton. Eileen is 1 of 3 lakes on the reservation - Sunset Lake and Manning Lake, both bigger than Eileen, are the other 2. You can see scouts engaged in activities at the waterfront at the upper left portion of Lake Eileen - swimming, kayaking and sailing small boats are major activities engaged in on that lake. At the lower right portion of the photo you can see 3 fishermen in a boat on Manning Lake - the scouts have water-related activities on that much larger lake also, including sailing, kayaking and water-skiing. Note how small a slice of land separates these two lakes.
