Google TV
Thought I would give it a try.
Got the Logitech Google TV receiver @ $99.00 and not the Sony @ $249.00. The Logitech come with a set top receiver and a regular wireless keyboard that also can be programed for most/all TV functions. No subscription fees for Google TV. You do need high speed internet/broadband. You can go wired or wireless. If wireless you do need a good high speed router. The Logitech Google TV is something like the old WebTV but more. There is quite a bit of live streaming if one desires. I watch Twit TV - Leo LaPorte from the old Tech TV days. He runs a 24 hour internet only technology TV station. LINK Others such as YouTube are free. Netflix requires a subscription fee. Google TV is not for everyone. But for some combine this with OTA antenna and there is enough to watch and cable and satellite can possibly be dumped. Only Sony offers televisions with Google TV built in. And only 3 sizes or 3 models of their TV's. |

Sorry if Link above goes to a blank page.
Here is the correct link I think. For streaming TV over internet. An example of an TV internet television station. Content about technology. LINK And to answer a couple of questions I received. The Google TV set top box can be hard wired by cat5e wire or it can be used wireless using an internet/broadband router. The keyboard remote is wireless and works just like any regular remote control for any TV. There are no wires for the keyboard remote control. . Last edited by songkrai; 12-28-2011 at 04:41 AM.
