Meredith Children's Museum
Has anyone been to the Meredith Children's Museum? We're thinking about taking our 17 month old there over Labor Day weekend.
Thanks- |

We haven't... but we're big fans of the Children's Museum of NH in Dover. We buy an annual membership to one of the recipocating museums, like the McAliffe-Shephard Planetarium in Concord or the SEE Science Museum in Manchester. They're part of a reciprocal program with hundreds of other museums in the world - you can get in at the other museums for free or a small fee - it's a wonderful program and helps to save money, in the long run.
(We've figured that 2 trips for our family of 4 to the planetarium in a year is equal to the cost of an annual membership - so that's a big savings for us with all the other day-trips we do.) There's one review on YELP for the Meredith CM. |

My daughter enjoyed the Children's Museum in Meredith when she was younger. Haven't been there in a few years but, assuming it's still the same, it has some fun bubble activities, a large climbing structure and other hands-on activities. Not a place to spend all day but you can certainly kill a few hours. To my recollection, the only issue we had was there didn't seem to be regular hours. The website advertises general hours but I seem to recall stopping by several times and finding it shut. The few times we did go we had it to ourselves though, so that was nice.

Can't really recommend it. It seems like it was a great place 5 years ago but now its just a bit sad. We took the nieces and nephews there a little over a year ago and they didn't last 20 minutes. I certainly wouldn't make it a big part of your labor day plans. The one in Dover is awesome if you are willing to make the drive. Good luck!
