Photo taken at a small falls on Shannon Brook yesterday. This falls is sometimes called Twin Falls and was once a stop along the once well-known Brook Path at Ossipee Park. This path is scheduled to be re-opened later this year after many decades of disuse and is highly recommended to any folks who enjoy the sight of waterfalls and a walk through dramatic terrain and park-like woodlands. People of a former time, like poets John Greenleaf Whittier, Lucy Larcom and Robert Frost, spoke in glowing terms of their experiences at the site. There is a series of 7 falls, 2 quite large (35 and 50 ft high), and other interesting features, such as flumes, picturesque pools, deep gorges, steep ravines and giant trees.
