Each week during the 9 weeks of camp, kids and adults compete to be King or Queen of the Sandy Island Log. This year the old log was deemed to be too unsafe and rotten to be used. Therefore a new log was taken from one of the trees felled by last year's microblast and during the first week of July was installed at the waterfront during Week One of camp.
