Some decades ago Milo Pike, owner of NH's largest paving company, built a grand home on the NW shoulder of Mt Rowe in Gilford - an estate that included considerable acreage on the mountain. He shared that home with his wife, Penny Pitou, well known local skier and silver medal winner of Olympic fame. This photo from the top of Lockes Hill shows part of the home as seen from the NNW. The estate changed hands some time ago.
