A look northerly toward many of the Lakes Region's most recognizable mountains. The ridge in the foreground extends from the shores of Merrymeeting Lake to the shores of Alton Bay. Behind that is the Ossipee Range, perhaps the dominant feature of the the Winnipesaukee viewscape, and behind them are mountains of the Sandwich Range, visible from Winnipesaukee and, more especially, from Squam.
