A view of the Ossipees from the southeast, across an opening in the woods on the Ledge Hill Road in Tuftonboro. Unlabled mountains seen in the photo include Big Ball, Little Ball, Briar Hill and Wallace Hill. Bald Knob, a rocky cone projecting out of the south side of Turtleback Mt, is one of the most popular view spots in the Ossipees, providing grand views of Lake Winnipesaukee and many mountains on the southerly half of the horizon.
