Even less frequently seen is a Loon landing.

A Loon approaching a landing site holds its wings the same way—as in this takeoff—but in an even deeper "V". That image of a Loon soaring to a landing spot has the odd appearance of something "Primeval"—as it should: the Loon is the Earth's oldest living species of bird!
