This is Lockes Is taken of the starboard bow of the Mount, with Lockes hill in the background. Varney point is the land mass on the right. If you look closely, directly between the photographer and Varney point, the water looks slightly brown with some rocks barely visible. These are The Witches, a rocky would-be island that lies only a few feet below the surface. Because it is located in an otherwise broad expanse of open water it is one of the most dangerous spots on the lake.
