Lockes Island with Lockes Hill in the background. The M/V Mount was preceded by the Steam Ship "Mount" which was preceded by the "Lady of the Lakes." Lockes Island was a sheep pasture when the steam side-wheeler "Lady of the Lake" was last used as a dormitory for stone masons building Kimball's Castle. The castle still stands, hidden by pines, on this face of Lockes Hill. The "Lady" lies sunken on the bottom of Glendale Harbor
