This boat was approaching on a course that would have us passing each other in an area with much less than 150' separation. I slowed to headway speed. As the other boat got closer I realized he was not going to slow down. I pulled out the digital camera and powered it up just in time to catch this picture (just a little late). You can see the back of my boat (the Sea Que) in the bottom of the picture - note no wake. I try to catch shots like this of the "offshore" boats that pass too close but they are long gone before I can get the camera out (let alone turned on). Photo Oct 2004

Do you think maybe you slowed down just for this photo opp? Theres a pretty good chance if you both continued at speed your boats would have never have even came close to a couple hundred feet of each other
