A nice view of the Belknaps, originally known as the Suncook Mountains. The Suncook River Watershed has its' origins high in the Belknaps at Round Pond in Gilford.

Other lakes at the headwaters include: Manning, Eileen, Sunset and Hills Pond all flowing into Crystal Lake in Gilmanton Iron Works. Crystal Lake flows through Suncook Brook to Upper and Lower Suncook Lakes in Center Barnstead. The Suncook River begins here and flows through Pittsfield and Allenstown until it eventually empties into the Merrimac in Hookset.
