This is an 'up-close' view of the eastern half of the southern face of the Ossipees, the face that is seen from The Lake. Taken from the summit of Big Ball Mt, the photo first shows the impressive cone of Black Snout. Mt Shaw, tho 200' higher, is hidden behind Black Snout from this perspective. A long ridge runs to the right to the double summit of Mt Flagg, with its rocky lower summit. Further right, we next see the rising peak of Canaan Mt. The last peak of this Ossipee series, Sentinel Mt, shows just its top, somewhat before you get to Green Mt, the peak on the far horizon, which lies near the southern shore of Ossipee Lake.
