The grand view from Major is to the north. Views to the south and east are also good. But to the west are 2 nearby mountains (Straightback on the left and E Quarry on the right) which are both 100 or more feet higher than Major. However, thru the gap between the two, you can see the top of Mt Belknap in the far background. Mt Klem is also partially visible, but hard to see because it blends into the eastern slope of Mt Belknap. Photo taken in mid-March, hence the ice in Winnipesaukee. You can walk from Major to Belknap on a system of trails.
