The Precipice Path is a hiking trail on the western slope of Straightback Mt that skirts the edge of the longest set of cliffs in the Belknap Range. This is a scene from the edge of one of the cliffs. The three lakes are Hills Pond, Sunset Lake & Crystal Lake. The small mountain in the middle is Shannon Mt. To its right, the sharply rising terrain is the start of Mack Ridge. You can see that the ice is only just beginning to leave Hills Pond.
