The greener mountains in the foreground are part of the northern half of the Ossipee Range. The other mountains reach back to the north in waves, range after range. Perhaps the most obvious ranges in this view are the Sandwich, Franconia, and Presidential Ranges. It's interesting to note that most of the peaks seen here have trails to their summits - many hikers, from far and wide, make a special effort to 'bag' all of them. Others, perhaps, climb them for the sheer exhilaration of 'just being there'.
