Round Pond, lying high up in the Belknap Range in a basin formed by 4 surrounding mountains (partially seen at right center), is much smaller than either Lake Winnipesaukee or Lake Wentworth (left of photo), but this picture shows how much loftier it is than they are - it is 1,100 ft higher than either of the other two.
