This Polyphemus Moth was found with another one on Rattlesnake Island. They are nocturnal, but were out during they day. They could not fly, just flopped around on the ground. I do not know if they were dying or if it was too bright. Their bodies were huge and heavy. They had about a 6" wingspan.
