NACRA makes some very speedy catamarans, and this one (number 8) looks like they've done everything right... That huge jib (with long bowsprit) adds huge amounts of speed. Notice the windward daggerboard is down. A crewmember might raise it to reduce drag but—trust me on this—this one skipper is a very busy skipper!
The skipper is "out on the wire", so he's got a steel cable attached to near the top of the mast, and to a quick-release harness around his belt line.
