Although Hurricane Irene is fast approaching New Hampshire this evening (08/27/11), we got a beautiful sunset during the "calm before the storm". Taken from Echo Shores in West Alton looking northwest.

A very unique sunset Don! Thanks for sharing another beauty!
I was very happy to get a callback from one of my brothers today from North Carolina, as the cell towers went down for a time there. He and his wife were out in their yard raking up some minimal debris from Irene's Breeze. My hope is that all is well there in the Lakes Region, and the flooding will be minimal, as well.
