This shot is taken from across the bay (near the new town beach) looking at the back of the old store that burned down ....where Gillan's Marine is today. The store was called McGrath's and various other names over the years. Perhaps justsold or gtxrider can identify the date of the cars. No postmark.

Could be a 57 Caddy in front of McGraths and looks like a white 57-59 Ford wagon on the opposite side plus a Plymouth 55/6 (red/white). The boat is a White (name is amidships) made in Maine before they became Grady White. I had a 59 White. http://www.winnipesaukee.com/photopo...hp?photo=14317
To figure the age of the boats - the only thing is the boats motor. Evinrude/Johnson had a rounded style that changed in 58 to a more square design and the one on the boat looks to be a 1960 Johnson -note red panel which was also on the side of the motor. Merc's were tall so it is not a Mercury. The motor on the boat behind the gas dock (no windshield) looks to be one of Downings rentals and the motor looks similar to a 58/59 Evinrude 35 HP (we had a 59) which Downings used until the 40HP came out. I did some research on Evinrudes: http://www.alterscale.com/ko_identify2.html

The Ford wagon looks like a 59 but I cannot make out the Plymouth but it is mid 50's

Love the Johnson in the foreground those V4 had a nice sound. Miss the old McGraths store and it's wooden floors.

Hey just noticed the Reptile Zoo in the background!
