Hate to admit it, but I'm not sure! I think it's a small lake near Fryeburg Maine...I THINK. I'ts pretty green though, so it leads me to believe it may be further south than that.

BTW McD: Hills Pond doesn't show up on Nav sectional charts (aircraft). Which direction is it from Alton, there's a few down there (un-named)...I don't think it's on the lake chart either, is it?

Hills Pond and Sunset Lake are up over Alton Mountain about due west of the end point of Alton Bay. Here's a link to an (older) map that shows Hills Pond in relation to Alton Bay. McD

I'm looking at my Bizer map on the wall here. It would be in the lower right corner. Bizer puts navigational info where Hills Pond would be!

Hey McD -- I see you now! I'll get one of you next time, PROMISE! We looked and looked and couldn't find Hills Pond. We have both a Bizer lake map and Aircraft sectionals with us and we couldn't find you (they were there, but not named, too small I reckon)! What a shame, yesterday was perfect, but we'll get you the next go-round. Take care!

CSU: Here's one of the few aerial shots I have of my camp. It is actually a zoom taken from the top of straightback mt. by photopost friend dcr one spring. Hills Pond in foreground, Sunset Lake in background. My place is second over from left. First house has a blue tarp covering screened in porch. Mine is the next one. Light gray with a white chimney on the right side of the house. Since sunset bob is paying for your lobster roll I'll step up to the plate and buy one for your lovely wife!! McD
