A bride stopped by the Forum Fest - you can see her in the wedding gown on the other side of the refreshment table.
Was she asking if a boat Captain could marry people? Maybe our gathering was more exciting than her reception... Or our refreshments were better... Or maybe she was getting a last minute talk from her mother... Or.... ??
And YES, boat captains can marry people. All the married captains I know married people. I think there is a law forbiding them from marrying animals. Can boat Captains officiate at wedding ceremonies? That's a different question (insert smiley face here).
