Even though the hat COVERING his head is labeled 'HERMIT COVER' we (should) know it's not pronounced cover (rhymes with hover and is like a lid, hat or covering) but sounds like 'cove-er' (rhymes with Rover).
Probably named after the cove named Hermit (am I making this too complicated?) Here's Hermit Cover under a hermit cover enjoying the gathering.
