Awesome shot, like the light on the water and the fact that you can see the stars in the sky. How did you take this? what setting, camera did you use?

Lin:
I use a Canon Digital Rebel XT with a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di Autofocus Lens for Canon EOS. I was also using a tripod. I didn't have any sort of filter on the lens.
The settings were as follows:
Camera Mode: Time Priority (I set the exposure time to 30 seconds and let the camera figure out what the appropriate aperature should be for the exposure.)
ISO Speed: 800 (I normally shoot 400 and lower. I forgot to change the setting.)
Focal Length: 28mm
Exposure Time: 30 seconds
Aperature: F4.5
It turns out that you can see two airplanes in the picture. They appear as periodic light dots moving in a straight line across the sky.
It usually takes me several shots to get a good photo when shooting at night. For every one good photo, there are usually 5 to 15 bad photos...
I hope this helps and thank you for the comments!!!
I hope you are having a great summer!!!
Thank you,
Eric Austin
