Lake Winnipesaukee, June 2001. As quickly as it came, the storm departs. The sound of its thunder fades with each minute. It has left behind several calling cards: the dripping of water from trees, downed branches scattered, and the ringing in your ears from when it was directly overhead. Breaking clouds allow the day's last few minutes of sunlight to traverse the horizon. In the same place where a lightning bolt burned its image into your sight just a few minutes earlier, a rainbow springs to life. This transition is nature's most profound commentary.
