A view of the perimeter mountains of the Ossipees from the center of the range, as seen from Bayle Mt. At the left the dominant peaks (Faraway - 2782' and Black Snout West- 2689') of the western portion of the range are shown. To the right are the dominant peaks of the northern portion of the range (Bald - 2450' and Whittier - 2340'). The highest peaks of the range are at the southeast, facing Winnipesaukee ( Shaw at 2990' and Black Snout East at 2803').
