2008's Tornado Damage at the NE (New Durham) corner of Wolfeboro's Lake Wentworth.

Although the 18-mile swath missed Lake Winnipesaukee, it only just missed it. A sturdy shoreline of ancient trees protected the three waterfront cottages pictured within this swath.

Not quite in the photo (to the right) is Camp Pierce/Birchmont. The tornado largely bypassed the camp while campers were absent for the day or in a sturdy structure at the camp. Much of the pictured forest damage is Governor Wentworth forest owned by the State of New Hampshire.

In this swath, a worker was severely injured at a new boathouse at the opposite shore off to the right of this photo, just ¼-mile away.
