No fool'n......Thursday, April 1 is one dollar day at Waterville Valley, www.waterville.com, with 38 trails out of 50 still open according to their website.
Not an April Fool's joke....the real deal.....ski all day for one buck! Weather for Waterville Valley from www.noaa.gov is a high of 63 and sunny with a low of 40 degrees. Just think....go skiing in the morning for a buck....and then go salmon fishing later on in Winnipesaukee with a $35 annual resident fishing license....what a deal! ![]()

Fatlazyless, did you go? Base area looks pretty hammered on the webcam:
http://www.waterville.com/winter/snowrpt.asp. I don't see how they can stay open until April 11 with summer-like heat this weekend and beyond. |

No, I've had the flu and didn't feel up to it, plus probably the soft snow would be what I call 'leg breaker' skiing.....too risky. Looked like they had a big turnout for the one dollar day from what I saw on tv. Skiing till April 11....who knows....seems unlikely?
There's still some ice left on the 7-acre Corcoran's Pond if anyone is look'n to do any late season ice fishing before it all melts away.
