Thank You!
Thanks for the library, AA, and video websites. They'll come in very handy.
I checked the Chamber of Commerce and didn't come up with much on what I was looking for. That's why I was specific. But thanks for the suggestion.

1. Library Right on South Main Street across from the hospital[/COLOR] 2. Video Store- Showtime at Clarke's Plaza, Wolfeboro Falls 3. Laundromat (did I spell that right?) - right next door to the to Clarke's plaza and the video store in Wolfeboro Falls 4. Best Hikes For Off-Leash Dogs - Against town ordinance but Ossipee range is great nearby hiking. 5. Best Healthy Place For Lunch- Lydia's cafe downtown wolfeboro 6. Best Healthy Place For Dinner (love Thai and Sushi) - Lemon Grass in Center Harbor 7. Best Grill Food (does the supermarket have decent meats?) Meat Market on Bay Street 8. Best Thing For Kids To Do In The Area- Hit the beach- Albee on Wentworth is the best and cleanest, the Nick outdoor park, Foss Field, sign them up for the Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation sessions. 9. AA Meetings (you can PM me for this one...lol)-at the Baptist Church in Wolfeboro Falls-You've got the link 10. Fireworks In July & August- The towns alternate nights so hit them all-July only. The best gym is probably Gordo's behind the Laundromat above. Brewster Acadamy's Smith Center is really nice too and accepts public memberships. |

Tumbledown Dick is a great place to run the dog. It is at the very end of Pleasant Valley Road. Also Bald Knob from the trail head on Rt 171, right at the Tuftonboro Moultonboro line marker. If it is dog swimming you are after and your dog is well behaved, a stick tossed off the edge of one of the causeways along the Bridge Falls pathway is a quick cool-off (bring your pooper baggie)

no theatre
That's the one thing the town needs! There are two, both about 40ish minutes drive. One in Meredith (Barnz) and one in Guilford across from the airport.
Regarding the dump, the address is 400 Beach Pond Road, phone 569-4439. You can buy your sticker there, you need to bring proof of address. The hours are pretty good, they are even open on Sundays at least during the summer! Sounds like you are a new neighbor, congratulations!!! |

Beagle And Grant...
First to Beagle...I wish I was your new neighbor. But I'm just renting a place for a month (at least) and while I've been to Wolfeboro hundreds of times (my family has a place on Bear Island), I've usually just been for lunch and/or cocktails.
But since I'll be "living" there for a month I needed to know where everything is. Someday, maybe after I win the lottery...or as my friend says, "anything you want is just a ski mask away". And to Grant...your two Goldens looks almost identical to my two Goldens. Mine are still basically just pups though. They just turned two in November. Definitely full grown but out of their minds. Its uncanny how the one on the left looks just like my Elle (the devil) and the one on the right looks just like Gracie (the angel). But to all, thanks so much for all your help. It saved me a ton of surfing the net and making phone calls. Am I insane for getting prepared and more than a little psyched for my vacation in July/August? Thought so!

JK...Just wondering about your forum name. Joshua Tree? are you from California originally? I was born and raised in the Joshua Tree National Monument.
Well 29 Palms anyway. Just curious how you picked that name. |

Lakes...
No, I'm not from Cali. U2 is my favorite band (has been for over 20 years) and The Joshua Tree is my favorite album. The JK are my initials.

Dogs
You can walk your dog off leash at the Nick playground/fields. It is private property and they allow well behaved dogs off leash, but please pick up after them. If you walk the perimeter of the fields it is .7 miles +/-. No dogs within the track though.
