I took a panorama shot (not 360 degrees, due to people) from the top of Chocorua last Monday. It came out pretty good. If you view it, use the scroll and pan arrows on the browser to see the entire shot.

Hats off to you Grant. What an incredible shot! I have fond memories of climbing that mountain when I was a kid, then later the family photos on “The Bridge”. Thank you!

No way. Of all the mountains in the state that I've climbed (including 20+ of the 40 over 4,000 feet), Chocorua remains one of my "top three" views. My grandfather was the one who turned me on to it as a kid -- although I never climbed it with him. Now I've dragged my family (in various configurations) up there a bunch of times. I've always wanted to climb it in the winter. |

Great Photos. I can remember the great hikes up Chocorua but have not been up lately. Now that I have viewed your picture I plan to climb again this fall. Thanks for the reminder of how beautiful this mountain is.

Awesome pic! I've been wanting to do Chocorua since I moved here a couple of years ago. Which trails do you take? About how long does it take you round trip? And one more, how much rock scrambling is there at the top?
Thanks! |
