Default Opening Day

If anyone wants to share their opening day experiences, would love to hear them.

We arrived today at 11am, water is running and dock is in. One problem, no hot water, can't figure out why the hot water tank is not heating water, any suggestions, I need a shower in the morning.

Default try these ideas

Switch is off, if so equipped. Breaker (fuse) is tripped or off. Heating element(s) burned out - which will happen if power is turned on even momentarily when the tank is empty. Thermostat is gone. Less likely: connection at panel or heater is loose/dirty or wire broken/chewed by rodent, etc.

Darn! No hot shower then....

We hope to be opening next weekend. I can't wait. I'm thinking everything should be fine considering that I stayed there a couple of times this past winter. The only bad news.... I left Bread and some other perishable items thinking I would be back one more time.... oops.

No worries, I'm sure the local wildlife cleaned it up for you

Opened up yesterday. Water is on, no heater problems and only one leak. Of all things it was the sprayer for the kitchen sink. Must have left some water in the handle and it cracked. First time for that.

I just replaced the heating elements, hot water is cooking now.

Aubuchon Hardware in Meredith had everything I needed.

The ice has moved back in, I'm glad I got the dock in yesterday

I hope the moving ice doesn't damage your dock.
