Question Church by boat?

Are there any Catholic Churches on the big lake that can be accessed by boat?

Thanks.

Default Catholic Mass

Saint John's on the Lake will hold a Catholic Mass on August 8, 2004. This chapel is on Bear Island in Meredith and is only accessible by boat (and a short walk into the woods). Since docking for guests is limited, please feel free to e-mail me and we can arrange (guaranteed) alternate boat docking.

You can also go to Church at St. Charles (http://www.stcharlesnh.org/) in Meredith. The church is a short walk up the hill from the public docks.

Default No more masses at Meredith location

St. Charles church is no longer open. The building has been converted to an inn and the church has moved to Route 25 near the Center Harbor border. A long way from the public docks.

St. Katherine Drexel (used to be St Cecilia's) is an easy walk up the hill from the Wolfeboro town docks, just past the prep school, on the right. They had a 10:30 mass on Sunday as of a couple of weeks ago. I think there is also an 8:30, and a Saturday afternoon, but I'm not sure when the schedule changes for summer.

Default drive-in service

It's not Catholic, but, in the summer the folks from the bible camp conduct a service at the bandstand (the one on the land) each Sunday morning in Alton Bay. People bring their lawn chairs, or sit in their cars, or even float around in their boat nearby. Not a bad way to attend church?
