Were trying to locate a barge service on for our island home. need leads and ideas on costs for runs or daily rentals? also does it include moving the stuff on and off the barge and on to the island property. etc. we waited all last summer and never moved to the top the list for one firm. thanks

I would contact Watermark Marine Products. They offer a barge service. They can be reached @ 603-293-4000

I know Watermark has a very long wait list, I would try Lakes Region Marine Construction. Jim or Tom 253-7272, they will be at me place at ice out on rattlesnake.

Try Dave Farley at Diversified, he has a large barge and can probably do it in a lot less time than you think. His cell is 630-2259.

Hey, there's an old barge for sale in the classified for $50,000. Just imagine the convenience of having your own barge which could then double as a camp site for when mother-in-law visits the lake. Still cheaper than buying a condo campground site.....and no prop tax! Probably comes with an old Evinrude V6-vro, mounted on a bracket, so keeping that running could be a time consuming.

try Docks Unlimited now located just down the road from Funspot. They have been around for almost 30 years and have the biggest barge on the lake and are having another one built.
They could probably help and since there barge is the biggest it may take less trips. |

![]() Could that barge be the same barge that sank* off Rattlesnake Island a couple of years ago? *Not that there's anything wrong with sinking a barge: one large blue barge got "winterized" that way across from my place. They just bailed it out and started to work at that site in the Spring.
