It is looking like we are going to get back to normal winter weather next week, with a good chance of a decent snow storm next weekend, Sunday night or Monday, followed by some BELOW NORMAL temps starting around the 16th. I hope this is a fix for the skiing and that it will rescue the Winni-Derby on its scheduled date.
Time will tell, but I am getting excited!! Ladies keep dancing! R2B |

Just speak in a low voice. The gods don't like us getting too excited, but I hope it goes like you say (whisper). I planned my vacation to include the weekend after the scheduled derby weekend, just in case.

Although it is looking like this weekend will be a little above freezing with some rain/snow/ice in the lakes region, we are in for a stretch of cold weather starting Monday and lasting ten days. During this stretch, it will not get above freezing during the days and will get close to the single numbers at night. Lets hope we get a period of no wind so that the lake gets skimmed over. If this happens early in the cold period, the low tempatures will cause the ice to thicken fast.
Winter is coming! R2B |

I could have helped, I could have left my boat in the water for a ride in the new year, gaurentteeeeed Ice in would have been early Dec. For all those that like the cold weather, snow, ice, I hope your dreams come true. It seems unfair that people spend thousands of dollars on ski-mobiles and they sit on a trailer.

Actually, it's MY fault there's been no cold weather. In early November, I bought my son a season's pass to the local ski area. So far, he's made one run, and one run was enough for him to know that the man-made, frozen, thawed, frozen, thawed, frozen, thawed snow was terrible.
