Default Winnisquam Lake Level

Anyone have any ideas/educated guesses on when the level of Winnisquam will be reduced at least a little bit? It seems to be about 1 foot above regular level. I'd like to put my docks in but I'm not tall enough to put in the last section with the level that it's at and I'm too wimpy to get completely soaked this early in the season

The only place for it to go is into the Big Winni and it's full too. They usually only let water out in the fall. I have a dry suit I use when I am in the water this time of year. You should be able to get one on ebay for $150 or so. It's a nylon suit with rubber gaskets around the neck, wrists and ankles. You put a life vest and sweats on under it and you stay warm and dry.

If you want more info, shoot me a note. The suits are also great for skiing and tubing in cold water.

Question Isn't it the other way around?

If I'm not mistaken, it's the other way around. Winnipesaukee feeds into Winnisquam, via the Lakeport Dam. Winnisquam then feeds into another waterway further south, and so on. Somebody please correct me if I'm mistaken. Thanks!

Default water flow

You're right. . .Winnipesaukee flows into Winnisquam, not the other way around hence the Lakeport dam. For a winter without snow we certainly have an awful lot of water!

Default Wettest April on record.

According to the Boston news stations last night, as of the storm that cancelled the Red Sox on Tuesday night, this is the wettest April on record.
