Default car insurance

Does anyone know if insurance covers vehicles that have taken the plunge thru the ice?

It's been stated here on the forum that only 4x4's are covered. I suppose they would be expected to be found "off road". After all, what would a Toyota Camry be doing on the ice (or in the woods) anyway? Kinda makes sense...

I work with several different insurance appraisers from different companies and they have told me they cover under water recoveries. Just what I've been told, check with your agent
