For $1.29 Market Basket has medium heavy weight, off-white canvas work gloves with a stretch elastic collar, made in Pakistan, that will fit large hands and really get the job done.
http://www.uniqent.com/product-categ...canvas-gloves/ Good gloves for construction, carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, painting, dry wall, landscaping, dock removal, loading and even for playing outdoor pickleball in November ....... these are very happening and very comfortable work gloves at a super steal-of-a-deal price at Market Basket and similar to work gloves from 50-years ago. Wearing and working these all-cotton canvas, made in Pakistan work gloves will automatically energize your hands with new found, work performance and instant energy ..... budda-budda-bing! ......

No offense, FLL, but that type of glove is awful. They have loose fingers, slip off, have no grip, let anything remotely sharp through, etc. etc.
The real best all-round work glove is the Atlas Fit, which can be purchased at your local Ace Hardware. They're grippy, form fit, (almost) completely impervious to sharp objects, and last a long time (in 18 years, I've only needed 3 pairs). They also make a really thin version for summer and insulated version for winter. Excellent gloves that will easily outlast the ones posted for not much more moolah. https://www.acehardware.com/departme...gloves/7104433 Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk |

Harbor Freight has an excellent selection of work gloves. Industrial strength at a reasonable price. They really come handy!

Price correction: So, the actual price of these work gloves is $1.19/pr and not 1.39. Was in Market Basket this morning, already, and bought three more pair. What the heck! The label says Cordova 20101, heavy weight cotton w/ blue knit wrist, 65% polyester, 35% cotton, Made in Pakistan.
Work gloves at Rand's Ace Hardware start at $4.99 and go up to about $25. Nothing comes close to these $1.19 Market Basket gloves. They are like the #1 best deal in New England. So, I'm walking down Main St past the Flying Monkey and a tall, attractive white woman, about age-30, pretty good make-up is walking toward me on the sidewalk and she goes "I'm homeless and living outside and I am running out of money, any chance you can help me out?" She was tall, attractive and young so's I give her five dollars, the money I saved on the work gloves. Hell's bells ....... I should have asked her out on a date or something ..... such a missed opportunity. .......

I can see it now: Woman: "I need better gloves to work in my rose garden." FLL: "Yippy yo yay, they've got a sale on them gloves there at the Plymouth Market Basket and after we get some-a them we can stop by the hardware store for some free coffee and half-off rentals before taking my 1977 standard Honda Civic to..." Woman: walks off into the (home insecure) distance. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk |

The old Rand's Hardware, pre-March 2025 had 50-cent coffee but that stopped in March when Aubuchon purchased the business. Next closest el cheapo coffee is the Plymouth Public Library, up the hill, with $1.00 coffee.
If I had it to do all over again, I'd invite her to go get some breakfast at www.thecman.com/new-berrys-on-the-common/ which the website says "serves breakfast all day starting at 7-am and lunch from 11-3 daily" on Main St just beyond the hardware store. Everyone likes to eat if they are really hungry. Back to work gloves ..... am trying to think of something intelligent to say ..... what can I say? |
