A friend mentioned a fact that I wasn't aware of since I am not a pet owner.
Anyone that is on food stamps is not allowed to use them for pet food for cats or dogs. These neighbors are going to the food pantry for their families, and with money stretched, they're having a tough time, especially now, feeding their pets. So it would be a kind thing to do, when we're out in the market, or if you have extra in your own home, to portion some out in baggies and drop them off to your local food pantry (Moultonborough, Wolfeboro or wherever) so that those cans and bags can be taken by our locals to help feed their pets during a time of need. Hope this helps some needy families to feed their beloved pets. |
