Lots of steamboats steaming around today. I especially liked the one with paddle wheel propulsion.

Went over Saturday with my wife and 2.5 y.o. He loved watching and listening to the whistles.
I want to thank the captain or "Melvin" as always very nice and talked to my son which my son loved!! He even offered to take us for a spin around, which I was very upset my son said no ![]() I'm upset I won't be around this weekend to go over and see more. Can't wait until next year |

We, in Moultonborough Bay, grow accustomed to the "toot toot" , the week after Labor Day.
However . . . . today, around noon, a steamboat in the vicinity of Buzzell's Cove, managed to toot out the music to Merrily We Roll Along. Very innovative and quite entertaining. |

Several years ago there was a gentleman with a steam calliope on board. He played the "I'm Popeye the Sailor Man" song, and all the other boats whistled at the appropriate times. It was great!
