Are there any areas on the lake that offer high speed wireless internet access?

If you troll slowly along the coastline of the lake, you will find lots of wireless signals, mostly open for public use (ie, broadcasting their SSID), without encryption. I'm not aware of any public wireless networks in cafes and the like, but it would be a good list to develop.

Is there any wireless access on the lake? Either accessable by boat or walking distance from a public dock on Winnipesaukee?

The bookstore near the Starw Cellar in Wolfeboro is a hot spot.

Not within walking distance of lake, but Moultonborough library has wireless internet available that extends outside the library.

The Dunkin Donuts at the Weirs (just over the bridge, next to Logs o Fun) has free WiFi and plenty of tables upstairs to set up.
It's a very short walk from the Weirs Beach public docks. |
