Hi,
My 94 whaler died this summer and I'm looking for a 5 or 6hp four stroke motor to put on my row boat. Any recommendations on where I can pick one up in the area, or a dealer of used boats..thanks!!! |

There are usually engines like this in the Brookline boat auction (May) and the NH Boat Museum auction (July).

For about three hundred dollars, you can get a small outboard from NH craigslist.... go to the boats section and do a search for "Allenstown" and there's a guy in Allenstown, NH with all these old Evinrude and Johnson outboard that he rebuilds.......all 2-strokes that run & run & run forever on just a wee small 25:1 portion of the el cheapo blue Walmart 2-stroke oil.
