Default Pictures from the storm

We took a walk around our neighborhood Thanksgiving morning. The scenery was so beautiful, but also noted the amazing amount of branches and trees down. We lost a birch tree and note the other birch across the street on the power lines. That may be one of the culprits that caused our power outage.

Default I know the feeling

Our street became a winter wonderland. Still have trees bent over and being held in place by snow still on them. These were taken Thanksgiving morning:

Default Early Thanksgiving Photo

As the sun rose on Thanksgiving morning and hit the snow in the treetops, the scenery was spectacular. Here's a photo I took at 7:30am Thursday morning as the sun hit Sleepers Island in West Alton:

Default Fenton Ave.

If this is your street then yes. I use to rent the apartment over the boathouse in the 70's from the O'Neils. Great family.

I was in the process of buying the Atkinson buildings on the lake, when the realtor says it was taken off the market. The building had the original soapstone kitchen sinks, bear claw bath tubs, gas lanterns and coal boiler in the cellar! Step back in time! I was going to do a complete restoration and turn the buildings into condexes.

Someone from Hollis is doing it but instead of restoration, he completely gut it out and replace with modern contemporary. Sad.
