Thanks for the post. It is important to realize the population increase of these animals and become aware of the dangers to small pets.
Our location is in Hudson, NH. We have been hearing the coyotes around 2 am nearly every night. Their howling and yipping have been coming from different directions so I know they are prowling the area. We are fortunate that our little dog seems to fear the sound and stays away from the woods. He prefers to be on his leash outside! My wife took him one for a walk a few weeks ago and a woman stopped her car to tell her she just saw 3 in her back yard and to be careful. The books say to be noisy and don't run from them. I would prefer hunters to clean them out so we can get back to enjoying our yard. |

We have 4 small dogs 3 jack russels and one dumb ass beagle, they stay in a 6 foot kennel with a heated dog house during work hours when we are not home. When they go out of the house they go into a fenced in yard. Only 4 feet high but high enough to keep anything confined while it is preoccupied with the 4 dogs until I get the gun.
If I ever see one and have a gun handy it will go down, and if I don't kill it let it suffer. I don't care how cute it looks they are dangerous to us our pets and other animals. Almost as usless as squirrels. Got one of them today with the .22

Good question to present to the forum after Memorial day.
![]() Maybe not this year though. I saw on the news that gas at one MASS. station was already at $4.19 for regular. And with prices expected to reach $5.00 by Memorial day, I think boat usage and travel will be cut way back.

It's open season year round down here on Coyote's. Plenty of people shoot them just for the target practice.

Riding Sunday I had one between my skies and at the last second backed off and just tripped it up. Boy did I get crap from the locals at the next club house for not running it over and killing it.
My wife caught the whole thing on video, it was a big coyote.
